SLOW DOWN!

Adeline is growing up way to fast and is getting way to smart for her britches. I wish I could freeze her in time. Above is one of her latest tricks. When we went for her 9 month appointment I was totally bummed because waving was the only thing she couldn't do. We've practiced and have it down to an art, minus the time delay. She usually waves as you walk out the door. We haven't been doing too much more besides she is trying to run now. She can also comb her hair, brush her teeth, and when she pulls her hairbow out she attempts to put it back in.
We spent Thanksgiving in Ferron it was nice. We rode horses and shot skeet. It was my first time to actually shoot. I was pretty impresed with my self, I was better than expected. We ate lots of food. Our company for the weekend was Apryll, Wendy, Char, Jamie, and her family from Bicknel. Rachelle and Time came on Saturday since Rachelle being a news girl doesn't get any time off. The weather was very nice. Adeline enjoyed running around outside playing with all of the animals. She is quite the cowgirl, the first day we didn't even have to hang on to her she just balanced in the saddle.

Now if we could just get Adeline to sleep through the night! The month of November was terrible. I think she has been up more now then when we first brought her home from the hospital.

Lady Bug

Our little lady bug had a great Halloween. She got to dress up two times, once to go to her Dad's work and to stop by mine, and then for Halloween. She was a good sport and even left her antennas on. Her favorite candy was dots, they made the best noise and were the tastiest box! She did get a hold of a sucker though and eat through the paper so we might have a runner up! She carried around her pumpkin with her the entire time even when it got heavy she still packed it. She trick or treated to 4 different houses where she found a special treat at each one.

Adeline also turned 10 months this past Saturday. I can't believe how big she is getting. She has figured out how to walk from room to room today! I can't imagine her getting into anymore stuff than she already does. She is a very happy girl, and makes us smile every day. Her favorite thing to do right now is give hugs and kisses to all of her stuffed animals its so dang cute!

New Things...

What have we been up to lately? I thought I would show you in pictures...

We love to read books!
Happy Halloween and 9 months! Our stats are as follows:
Weight 20.9lbs 82%
Height 28.5 in. 84%
Head 18 in 97%
Don't worry though they are all brains! It also holds 2 new teeth. She got them at the same time, so it wasn't really a hard time, just one bad night.

Last but not least she is very destructive! Just look at what a good job she did at pulling down every movie we own!

Driving?

This has nothing to do with driving, but this is our little ham, when you get out the camera now days this is what you get. Don't let it fool you though, she is quite the terror, now crawling and crusing along all the furniture!

Crawling, Standing..

Adeline is bound and determined to accomplish everything! Right before she turned 7 months she learned how to sit up, and crawl. A few weeks before that she learned how to pull her self up to the standing position. Nothing is safe at our house anymore. I thought our couches were to slippery and tall for her to use to stand up, boy was I wrong. She is getting to brave for her own britches! She is a speed demon in her walker now too. She will follow you every where you go. I'll post some pictures as soon as I get some new cute ones. Her hair is turning very blond and is very frizzy and fluffy. At her 6 months appointment which was 18 lbs! Her new favorite thing to do is laugh at everyone, and everything. Then she screams at them! We couldn't ask for a happier baby. I think she only cries at night to remind me that she isn't sleeping through the night!

Busy July

We had a pretty exciting July! I don't think we spent one weekend at home. Neither of our parents were at their homes so we spent the holiday with Aaron's Uncle Brad in Rexburg and being in the parade in Victor. Adeline had fun waving her flag out of the truck window.
The next 2 weekends, we went to Utah. Tyler kicked my butt! We hiked everywhere. Dad and Aaron went to Vegas for a class. Adeline wasn't to excited about her Dad being gone, as she tried to stay up waiting for him. We rode the horses, Tyler and Aaron farmed. I worked from home this week, and like a dork I didn't even take one day off. What was I thinking? We wore Adeline plain out, she loved going for walks and all of the Animals. Her favorite part was when the dogs would fight. She would get all excited and scream and wave her hands. We took a nice drive on the mountain, but got ate by mosquitoes when we tried to get out!

The last weekend, we spent at the Hansen Family Reunion, which is one of my favorite things to do! Its just Aaron's aunts and uncles and their kids that come up to the farm. The kids range from 40-2, then all the great grand kids. We floated the Snake River, and got burnt to a crisp! Aaron and I even fell out of the boat! First time ever, I felt like a dork! It was fun to see all of his cousins.

Here are a few pictures from our trip, not to exciting. I wish I could have take pictures on the river, they would have been way cool!

Happy Half Birthday!

Yesterday was Adeline's 1/2 birthday! She is getting so big. Over the past 6 months these are a few of the things we have learned about her.

  • She is very determined, I hope she never looses this trait about her. No matter how far away that toy is, she is going to get it no matter what.

  • She is always doing things very quickly.

  • Eating big girl foods is one of her favorite things to do.

  • She has never been a big fan of taking naps.

  • She loves animals, she is always so excited when the cat comes around.

  • Adeline is not a big cuddler, but is getting a little better at it.

  • She is a music lover, ever since day one.. turn on the radio nice a quite.
  • Reading books is one of her favorite things to do.

Her accomplishments to this point are:

  • She can sit up all by herself.

  • She can scoot around on her bum to get to where she is going.

  • She can pull herself up to the standing position.

  • We are eating cereal and vegetables, which she loves.

  • She has successfully said her first phrase more than once, even if she doesn't know what it means.

  • She can walk forward in her walker.

We are lucky to have such a fantastic baby! I can't wait for the more adventures and to see what she is going to do yet. She is becoming pretty destructive, you can't leave her unattended because you don't know what she is going to be pulling apart! She also takes after her dad. She doesn't just play with her toys, she tries to figure out how to take them off what ever is holding them together. We love her very much, and I'm not sure what I would do with out her!

5 Months

I'm a little tea pot, that's my new favorite song! We have a book that sings it to her and it if she had it her way it would play non stop. Some of her other favorite things, are her baths. You need rain gear to bath her now days. She also loves going for walks, when we put her in her carrier she starts to squeal. Last but not least she loves all the animals. She thinks she should touch them all. Her five month anniversary was special because he dad blessed her. We did it at Grandma and Grandpa Hansen's house. Unfortunately there are no pictures to follow because I was to stressed out getting the BBQ ready to remember to take them :( It also snowed last yesterday and has been raining all week. I think I jinxed us by getting out Adeline's shorts. The biggest thing that happened is Adeline said her first phrase! I know you don't believe me, but I had 3 witnesses. I thought it was just going to be a fluke, but she said it again last night so we will see.

Memorial Day Weekend & New Stuff

We have started feeding Adeline cereal, she does very well. I was hoping it would help her start sleeping through the nigh, but no such luck yet. Aaron likes to help feed her too, as you can see :). Adeline has started trying to sit up all by herself. She does really good most of the time, we have taken a few nose dives. It makes it hard though, because thats all she wants to do, so she doesn't lay and play with her toys as well as she used too. She also has been quite the chatterbox, all we can do is laugh.

On our way home for Grandma's in Ferron we stopped to see her cousin Kate. They had a good time swapping spit, and eating each others fingers. Its fun to get them together and see how they interact together.

She also made a new best ffriend at Grandma's house. The new puppy Nitro loves her. She was reaching in his mouth pulling his hair, everything and he just layed there and took it! What a good puppy. We got to spend a lot of time outside, Adeline loved it. She hearded cows for her first time and actually got to go on some walks. She still only wants to pet Meg the horse, the others just aren't the same.

4 Months!

Adeline is getting so big! She thinks she is such a big girl. She thinks that she should be sitting up or standing all the time. Now when you pull her up by her arms she thinks she should just keep coming up to her feet. She has offically found her feet, her fingers we can't keep out of her mouth and she loves on all of her toys. Some of them are already so mauled. I had to buy her a new one so she would stop eating the fur off her pink bunny from easter. When we took her to the doctor on Tuesday she weighed 12.5 lbs and was 24 inches long. Unfortunatley since I had to go back to work, she likes to keep me up at night, its her secrete plan. She also has been rolling over for about a month. It took forever for me to see, I'd bring her home and she would never do it. She is doing better on her belly. Her duck that sings to her helps us through the struggle! We are still waiting for spring her in Idaho... Hopefully we can have a full day of sunshine soon so we can play outside!

Happy Easter!

This was the first year ever that I didn't get to be home with my family. It was kind sad not to participate in our 50 year family tradition! We made due though, and did the next best thing. We met Gary & Peggy in Idaho Falls for breakfast. Of course Adeline was spoiled. The ladies at the resturant went nuts, you would think they had never seen a baby before! As far as Adeline growing she is doing great! She has rolled over 3 times, which of course I missed being at work :( She also is making new noises.

3 Months!

Adeline is 3 months old today! She is a very happy girl! She has found her hands, and feet and is trying to sit up all by herself. She tries very hard to be big on her own. Her eyes are very blue we are hoping they won't change. Hair color on the other hand is changing between brown and red!

Our first road trip...

We went on our first road trip this past week with Adeline. We went to my parents in Ferron. We had a nice time seeing friends and family. My mom kept us busy with a list of people that we had to go show Adeline too. Aaron stayed busy doing all of my Dad's farming. He came back with a tan that he is pretty proud of. The temp was nice, but i mostly blew why we were there. Adeline got to go on her first walk and touched her first animal! Of course it was a horse :) The camera sat in the suitcase, so unfortunatley we didn't get any kodak moments. Adeline has learned how to make a fist. She squeezes it so hard her entire had turns purple, she also found her feet while we were away. She did well in the car to get to Ferron, but once we got there at 3 in the morning, she just wanted to play. It took her all week to get back on her schedule. Now we are home she is doing better. On our big trip, we all so got to go to Jason & Sara's baby blessing. Kate is super cute and bigger than Adeline! She is 3 weeks younger. It was fun to see her. Tomorrow is going to be a terrible day. Its the first day back to work ugh. Tears have already been spilt. I wish it didn't have to come :(

Crawling???

So our little Adeline is going to be crawling before we know it! For some reason I quit putting her on her belly, and got in trouble at the doctors. So we have been spending more time on our belly. Adeline hates it! She screams and cries the whole time. Today she was on her play gym which kind if has a slippery material on it. When I layed her down her legs were kind of tucked up under her. The next thing I knew she was sliding and crawling all over it. She never lifted her head so she kind of had a floor burn on her face. I'm going to try to film it next time, if there is a next time. She also has a new best friend..

First Blog Ever!

We are new to this, so here it goes. Our update is we just had our first baby, she was born January 7. Her name is Adeline Rose. We live in Tetonia, Idaho. Aaron works for Wells Fargo and I work for Silverstar Communications. I'm on maternity leave and not looking forward to going back to work. I'll do my best to keep things updated :) P.S. Pictures to follow, the internet isn't cooperating right now.
