Our children will teach us

Last week Adeline taught me to quit being a baby. We were outside playing in our backyard. She saw our neighbor walk by and started begging to go say hi. I kind of shrugged it off until she asked again. WE moved to the front and waited for her to pass. She came and told us she had lost her cat and stayed for a short visit. I felt bad for her, but enjoyed her visit.

I have been feeling down lately, I think I'm getting a little homesick. I start feeling like I have no friends, nothing to do and nobody wants anything to do with me. I hate feeling bad about myself. The girls help, but some adult conversation would be nice once in a while. Anyway due to Adeline's outgoingness it made me realize, maybe I need to go find me a friend instead of waiting for them to come to me. My goal is going to be to be more outgoing and find someone to visit or go to the park with. I'm glad that Adeline can be my example. I hope I can be an example for her.

She has really been trying my patience since I have gone back to work. She does not listen to me at all and it has been really tough. I feel like an awful parent and always yelling at her. If we are in public she is fine, but at home heavens sake I'd like to auction her off some days. I guess she will teach me some patience along the way as well.

Paisley is growing like a weed, she weighted 14lbs at her 4 month appointment. She can roll from back to belly, and belly to back. She is trying to master sitting up and standing. All the girl wants to do is stand up I wish she would be a better sleeper. She was up 4 times last night, and Adeline was up twice. Maybe one day I will get to sleep again.

Anyway, just thought I'd share Adeline's experience. It has been making me think a lot lately.

Do you think I will make it?

See these cute girls?!

What am I going to do with out them? I hate this, I have to go back to work one week from today, and I am already an emotional wreck! Did I mention I hate it. All the fun times I'm going to miss with them. Snuggling in the morning, going swimming, playing at the park, going for walks. I'm just thankful I got more time then I thought.

Both girls are growing up so fast. Adeline is really funny about what she says. She is also getting very sassy. I told her to sshh and she said no! We need to talk like this. As for Paisley she has found her feet, and loves to stand and sit. If she could just sit up by herself she would be in heaven. I'm sure it won't be long before she has it figured out.

2 Months Already!

I can't believe that Paisley is two months already! It makes me sad. I have been loving staying home with the girls. When I think about going back to work it makes me cry. I guess we will just have to make the most out of the time we have left together.

As far as Paisley goes she is doing pretty good. She has a stupid cold that we can't get rid of. At her 2 month appointment, she weighed 11.5 lbs and was 23 1/2 inches long. She is starting to get chubby. No more skinny baby. She has rolled over a few times on my bed and in her swing! but not ont he floor yet. She is a great baby. I'm just hoping it doesn't all fall apart when I go back to work, because thats what happened with Adeline. She quit sleeping through the night when i went back to work and she still won't sleep through the night! Here is to hoping!

Adeline Update

"Mays me horse"! Adeline is quite the cowgirl! She loves the horses.. Riding them and feeding them were the highlight of our trip to Namma B's house. My Dad told her that May was her horse and she hasn't forgotten since we have came back. She tells me a few times a day. She loved being in Ferron and having the freedom to run around. She spent all day outside, the only time she came inside was to eat and sleep. She also learned to ride her bike. The bike riding has been nice because it gives her something to do at our house. She was so sad when we came home because there was no one to wait on her hand and foot.

The weather at our house has been pretty crappy. So we have just been causing a lot of trouble in side the house. Especially when I am feeding Paisley. The above picture is Adeline "helping". She hates wearing clothes. If she can get away with it this is how I find her. She gets into everything.

Some of Adeline's favorites right now are the colors blue and green. When you ask her what she wants to eat its always Macaroni and cheese. She has adapted pretty well to having Paisley around. It sure has brought out her mean streak though. She loves to push the limits with abusing Paisley. Good thing her cuteness out weighs her meanness!

SHE IS HERE!

Paisley Ann Hansen came to us Saturday April 16! Almost one week after her due date. Best of all she came all by herself :). Adeline is adjusting well. She has had one big jealousy fit because her daddy wasn't paying attention to her. So far Paisley is doing great. She is a good sleeper which is totally opposite of her sister. Grandma is still here helping us and will be for a few more days. We love our new addition to the family!

Adeline's 2nd Birthday

I can't believe that Adeline is two! Where has the time gone.. For her birthday I decided to make her a Minnie Mouse cake since she is kind of obsessed with the Mickey Mouse Clubhouse. She has been kind of devistated since her face has started disapearing. Her bithday only last 2 days versus Christmas that lasted 5.
Its impossible to get her to smile, but she did a pretty good once I told her just to show me her teeth instead.

She is a very determined little girl. We reached our goal of being able to count to 10 by the time she was 2. Now we need to work more on our letters. We went to the doctor and she didn't have to have any shots. She weighs 30 lbs. and was 36.5" tall. I think she is probalby taller than that, she wouldn't stand up for them. She is still happy most of the time, but is getting a little bossy. She also is very well mannered.

Christmas 2010

Santa found our house! Yay!! Christmas lasted forever at our house. Adeline was excited to open up the first handful of presents, after they turned from toys to clothes she was done. We had to pretty much brib her to open them. Five days later we opend our last one. We had a fun time with all of the cousins that came to play at Christmas. Adeline was so sad when she went back to find nobody to play with.
